Google Video (
mentioned earlier) now lets you upload your own video content. They may then make this available to “the public” at a later point in time. You can even set a price for the videos. In which case they'll take at least 30% of the take to pay for costs. Plus
“If You have not designated a price for Your Authorized Content and We incur extraordinary costs and expenses in hosting, indexing and displaying Your Authorized Content, we may charge a fee in order to defray these costs.” [Source]
People uploading their own video's, what's next? A big challenge for Google, will no doubt be making sure that the uploaded content is actually owned by the uploader. Sure, the terms say you'll indemnify Google, but they may still catch a lot of heat over this. Speaking of the terms and conditions, what's up with the constant misspelling of “wil l” instead of “will”? Not very professional.
