Google Labs offers a
search history function. Sign in with your Google account and Google will keep track of all searches you do. You can return to the search history at a later point in time, like next month, and check all searches and the links you clicked on/sites you visited. Sounds helpful to those with Alzheimer's, or those regularly forgetting their queries, but I think I'll pass.
It is a strange world we're living in though. Before long, it'll be “I know I saw this on Google” instead of “I know I saw this on the Web”. Interesting functionality, this search history, similar to the search history of your browser. But really, when I think about how often I use that history to retrieve information I found a while back, I think the total number of times won't exceed once a month. Gmail, search history, maybe soon a calendar (hey, why not), more and more very personal information is stored on Google servers (risky, but let's pretend Google can't ever turn evil) and protected only by a username/password. I think I'll stick to being reluctant to use these features for anything really important.
HTML tags will not be parsed. Type URLs just as "http://www.golb.org".
Note: Comments that I consider to be spam will be removed. The same goes for comments that I consider to be insulting (by my own standards) to other participants.
