For a while now, the looks of my blog have been bothering me a bit. The main page is way too crowded with all kinds of items I never use myself. Items that are probably also of little use to other visitors. Like the weather info, the
subscribe for updates button (people either use RSS, have the site bookmarked or are simply not interested in this), and possibly even the calendar. Sure, it may look fancy and hip and very bloggy, but just how often do you really click a calendar date on a blog? So some of that can go, although I'm still debating about the calendar.
This means that over the course of this weekend, you may come back to the blog to see some changes. Or maybe you already seem them, depending on when you read this. I have more planned, like a foldable menu to show/hide sections of the menus. The ultimate goal is to make the page less overwhelming and crowded. Calmer, if you want.
We'll see how it works out ...
