I just got word that my hosting provider is movings it data center. As a result, the server hosting Blots of Info will be disconnected, packed up and brought to a new location. In other words, you have to find something else to keep you busy during that time. The expected downtime is two hours, but I'm counting on a longer time. I have seen server changes and physical relocation of machines before and two hours sounds like an incredibly short time to me.
The downtime is scheduled from 12 midnight GMT on Friday 17th November until 2am Sat November 18th. Check this schedule to see what this converts to for your time zone.
This announcement gives me a good excuse to test the “sticky” functionality of my blog, i.e. to post something that will always be the first thing you see, regardless of how many posts follow.
