This page attempts to answer any privacy-related questions you may have, when it comes to interacting with this site.


Cookies

Information collected

This site recognizes and collects IP addresses of computers visiting the site. This information is collected through third-party services to show the number of visitors and how they arrived at this site ("referrer info"). These sites also collect information about your browser and computer systems, like screen resolution, browser version, and language. I will never sell any of your information. The privacy terms for the external services (StatCounter and Google Analytics) are listed below. Please read these for more information regarding their use of the data.

This site contains links to products from Amazon.com. When clicking on those links, your information is subject to Amazon's privacy policy. This site also contains Google ads, with links to sites through the Google AdSense program. You can find the Google privacy policy here.

In addition to the above, www.golb.org collects your IP and referrer info, and makes this accessible on the referrer pages. The owner of this site also has access to information about which browser agent you use and other system settings and click behavior, such as browser and operating system, screen colors, screen resolutions, java support, Flash installed, connection type, your time on the site and your page views.

Any information collected is purely used to satisfy my curiosity about site visitors. I like to know how often my pages are viewed, and how I might improve my site for your viewing pleasure. I don't share or sell the information with anyone for any purpose but to maintain the site. The third parties that have access to the data are the ones listed on this page.


Other info

Golb.org does not actively collect any other information (I consider the above plenty at the moment). However, in your interaction with the site and its owners/members, it is possible that you reveal personal information. When you sign up to become a member, you give out your e-mail address. Personal information, be it your name, e-mail address or anything else will not be made public by the owner of this site, with the exception of information published on the member details pages. Of course you can make personal information public yourself, by including it in a comment or as part of your member info.


The short version

I do not sell or share any personal information that may fall into my hands as a result of your interaction with this site. For third party services used on this site, or services you use as a result of following links from this site, please read the appropriate privacy policies. The only exception to my not sharing information is with regards to people who (attempt to) hack this site or spam it. They should keep in mind that I may use their information to contact their ISP and/or I may share their information with law enforcement agencies.
